Esta fecha es fundamental en la lucha por los derechos humanos de las personas LGBTQ+, ya que busca visibilizar las diversas formas de discriminaci\u00f3n y violencia que a\u00fan persisten en todo el mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 el 17 de mayo?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La elecci\u00f3n de esta fecha no es casualidad. El 17 de mayo de 1990, la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS) elimin\u00f3 la homosexualidad de su lista de enfermedades mentales, marcando un hito en la despatologizaci\u00f3n de las identidades LGBTQ+. Sin embargo, la discriminaci\u00f3n no desapareci\u00f3 con esta decisi\u00f3n. A\u00fan hoy, muchas personas sufren violencia, exclusi\u00f3n y desigualdad simplemente por ser quienes son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"D\u00eda Internacional contra la Homofobia, la Transfobia y la Bifobia\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lYh4U4cGs5I?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Las realidades de la homofobia, transfobia y bifobia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A pesar de los avances en derechos y reconocimiento legal en varios pa\u00edses, las personas LGBTQ+ contin\u00faan enfrentando desaf\u00edos graves:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-background\">\u2022&nbsp;Criminalizaci\u00f3n y violencia: En m\u00e1s de 60 pa\u00edses, la homosexualidad sigue siendo ilegal, y en algunos de ellos se castiga con la pena de muerte. La transfobia tambi\u00e9n es una realidad alarmante, con altos \u00edndices de violencia y cr\u00edmenes de odio contra personas trans y no binarias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-background\">\u2022&nbsp;Discriminaci\u00f3n en el trabajo y la educaci\u00f3n: Muchas personas LGBTQ+ enfrentan barreras para acceder a empleos, estudios y servicios b\u00e1sicos debido a su identidad o expresi\u00f3n de g\u00e9nero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-background\">\u2022&nbsp;Rechazo familiar y social: En muchos lugares, salir del cl\u00f3set sigue siendo un acto de valent\u00eda que puede conllevar el rechazo de la familia, la p\u00e9rdida de oportunidades y el aislamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-background\">\u2022&nbsp;Falta de representaci\u00f3n y derechos: La visibilidad LGBTQ+ en los medios, la pol\u00edtica y la sociedad sigue siendo limitada, y en algunos pa\u00edses a\u00fan no existen leyes que protejan sus derechos b\u00e1sicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Un llamado a la acci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"D\u00eda Internacional contra la Homofobia, la Transfobia y la Bifobia\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eWvWew6yN0U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Este d\u00eda no solo es un momento de reflexi\u00f3n, sino tambi\u00e9n una oportunidad para actuar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-green-cyan-background-color has-background\">\u2022&nbsp;Educar y sensibilizar: La lucha contra la discriminaci\u00f3n comienza con el conocimiento y la empat\u00eda. Informarnos y compartir informaci\u00f3n veraz es clave para derribar prejuicios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-green-cyan-background-color has-background\">\u2022&nbsp;Apoyar a la comunidad LGBTQ+: Desde alzar la voz contra la discriminaci\u00f3n hasta apoyar iniciativas y organizaciones que trabajan por los derechos LGBTQ+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-green-cyan-background-color has-background\">\u2022&nbsp;Defender pol\u00edticas inclusivas: Exigir a los gobiernos que implementen leyes de igualdad y protecci\u00f3n contra la discriminaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-green-cyan-background-color has-background\">\u2022&nbsp;Crear espacios seguros: Ya sea en la familia, el trabajo o la escuela, todos podemos contribuir a entornos donde las personas LGBTQ+ se sientan respetadas y valoradas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El&nbsp;17 de mayo&nbsp;es una fecha para recordar que la diversidad es una riqueza, no una amenaza. Es un d\u00eda para reafirmar que nadie deber\u00eda ser discriminado por amar o por ser quien es.
